How-To-Pack Tips

Packing Supplies Select a work area and assemble your packing materials. Be sure to have an ample supply of tissue or craft paper, stuffing material, heavy duty packing tape, markers and labels along with a notepad for your inventory list.

Some items, such as large appliances, grandfather clocks, hot tubs, etc., may require preparation by a third party service. Be sure to arrange for this service ahead of time.

You should transport certain valuable items such as jewelry, coins, stamps and other similar items yourself.

  • Frozen Foods and Plants — Due to the delicate and perishable nature of these items, they should only be transported if the move is less than 150 miles and/or delivery within 24 hours of loading.
